Tanager Bank is seeking an experienced Community Lender II / Relationship Manager II to originate and manage a full-service lending portfolio across consumer, residential mortgage, commercial, and secondary market lending.
This is a production-focused role for a lender who enjoys building long-term relationships, developing new business, and managing clients throughout the life of the lending relationship.
What You’ll Do
- Originate and manage consumer, residential, commercial, and eligible secondary market loans
- Develop and maintain an assigned portfolio of lending relationships
- Structure credit consistent with Bank policy and underwriting standards
- Prepare and present credit requests to loan committee
- Complete annual reviews, renewals, modifications, and portfolio assessments
- Monitor borrower performance, collateral, covenants, and reporting requirements
- Develop new business through prospecting, referrals, and community relationships
- Maintain an active calling program with prospects, clients, and centers of influence
- Refer deposit and treasury management opportunities to appropriate Bank partners
- Partner with Branch Managers and Credit Administration
- Meet established loan production, portfolio growth, and deposit goals
- Represent Tanager Bank in community and civic activities
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years of lending experience
- Experience in at least two areas of lending, including consumer, residential mortgage, secondary market, or commercial lending
- Independent loan origination experience required
- Strong financial statement analysis and credit structuring skills
- Proven business development and relationship management ability
- Sound credit judgment and lending decision-making skills
- Experience with loan origination, mortgage, or portfolio management systems
- Formal credit training preferred
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Relevant lending experience may substitute for formal education.
Related Experience
Candidates with backgrounds as a Community Lender, Relationship Manager, Business Banker, Commercial Lender, Loan Officer, Mortgage Loan Officer, Consumer Lender, Personal Banker, Commercial Relationship Manager, or Business Banking Relationship Manager may be a strong match.
SAFE Act and Nationwide Multistate Licensing System registration is required before originating dwelling-secured consumer loans. Candidates not registered at hire must obtain registration within the timeframe established by Tanager Bank.
